  • Maho Magic Bar is a performance/show and a bar. It is inspired by the magic bars in Japan’s nightlife districts. Magicians perform close-up magic at your bar table, while you can enjoy delicious drinks.  The show contains adult concepts, simulated violence, slapstick, haze, low-level lighting and a lot of fun.

  • Maho Magic Bar has various starting times, you can choose your session start time with your ticket purchase.

  • 60 minutes.

  • We ask that you arrive 20 minutes before the start of your show to allow you enough time to settle into the night. There is a great outside foyer bar, Maho Mini Bar, with a brilliant view of the neon venue and snacks are available for purchase on site. Seating is allocated on a first-come basis on arrival by our front of house team.

  • Yes, you can sit at either a bar counter or a table. Seating will be allocated on arrival by our front of house team. You can view the seating map here.

  • Yes, and delicious Japanese inspired mocktails are available.

  • Maho Magic Bar is widely accessible and can accommodate wheelchairs. If you have specific access requirements we ask that you get in touch with us in advance by emailing hello@broadencounters.com. We will also provide you with the best advice for entering and exiting the area and answer any other questions relating to specific accessibility needs.

    All seats are at bar stool height, with the exception of standard table and seating height on Table 6. See our seating map here. Please advise us if you have access needs that require seating at Table 6.

    Companion cards are accepted at Maho Magic Bar. Please email hello@broadencounters.com with a photo of the companion card and your preferred session time.

    Service dogs are allowed at Maho Magic Bar. No other animals are allowed.

    The experience is highly visual and is broadly suitable for deaf people. However, you may bring an interpreter with you to enhance the experience. Please contact hello@broadencounters.com for more information and to make these arrangements for an interpreter.

    While the show is highly visual, Maho Magic Bar is a very interactive show, and many aspects are suitable for someone with visual impairments.   • There is low-level strobe effects for a short moment and low-level lighting in Maho Magic Bar. You are able to be warned by our staff and step out during these moments. Please email hello@broadencounters.com to make these arrangements.

  • Yes, Maho Magic Bar is air conditioned.

  • Maho Magic Bar features Japanese cocktails, sake, shochu, beer and wine. There are also delicious mocktails available. You can view the menus here.

  • Evening shows (4pm onwards): Maho Magic Bar is a licensed bar and show and, unless otherwise stated, is recommended for mature audiences. All guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult. Night-time performances are recommended for audiences aged 12+ with parental guidance.

    Daytime shows (prior to 4pm): Special family friendly performances are held in the afternoons on Saturdays and Sundays and are suitable for 6+years with parental guidance.

    Evening shows contain adult concepts, course language, sexual references, simulated violence, slapstick, haze machine, smoke machine, strobe effects and low-level lighting.

    Family-friendly shows contain haze machine, loud noise and music, some adult concepts and slapstick. These shows are recommended for ages 6 and up with parental guidance.

    Tickets are required for all attendees of Maho Magic Bar, except for children 2 and under who can sit on a parents lap.

  • We prefer cards, but you can use cash at the venue. However, please note that we do not carry change.

  • Sometimes tickets are available to purchase at the door. Maho Magic Bar has a strictly limited capacity, and we recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment.

  • Amateur photos and videos are permitted. Feel free to take photos and videos and share them. Make sure to tag @mahomagicbar on social media! Professional equipment and tripods are not permitted.

  • Maho Magic Bar does not have a cloak check. Please do not bring large bags.

  • Strollers and prams are permitted during the family friendly matinees only. There is, however, limited space and you may be required to leave your pram or stroller outside.

  • If you happen to arrive late, your entry will be dependent on the show conditions at that time. This may result in an undefined waiting period or no entry to the experience.
