THE MAGIC-makers

MAHO MAGIC BAR’S CAST

Kaori Kitazawa

Kaori Kitazawa hails from Tokyo. Her father loved magic when she was growing up – but she was more sceptical. Then at the age of twenty, she became a magician’s stage assistant. It was her first, true encounter with magic, and she fell in love. Shaking up gender stereotypes of this typically male domain, Kaori has been perfecting her craft for more than a decade, bringing kawaii charm to a superb skill set.

Shirayuri

When not strutting his stuff with his friends on the streets of Harajuku, fashion-forward Shirayuri spends most of his time creating mischief on Japanese television. Hailing from Funabashi, Chiba, Shirayuri has travelled extensively for magic, including time in Hollywood at The Magic Castle as well as Las Vegas. A student of legendary Japanese magician, Shoot Ogawa, Shirayuri is a smooth operator, with hipster flair aplenty.

When not commanding the floor in Maho Magic Bar, Spica works as an actress, based in Tokyo. She is active on stage and in film, and her work has been screened at numerous international film festivals, including the Moscow International Film Festival.
